Fountainhead from the ‘Florascopic 2’ series. Created from a shot of a jacaranda branch hanging before a commercial building in the city of Brisbane. The black column shapes that emerged as a result of my process are reminiscent of the time my grandfather was building some of Brisbane's now historic sandstone structures. The architectural nature of the composition reminds me also of the dramatic architectural novel ‘The Fountainhead’ set in New York City as it was being built into the sky. The same time my grandfather was adding to the Brisbane skyline.
