From Somewhere in Between
As travellers we are shuttled from destination to destination but during these journeys I am always left wondering what lies between destinations and what life is like out side of the destination spots. This series of photographs are images taken looking from the windows of transportation that has taken me between the beginning and end of a journey.
Road Trip Sunrise - Road Trip Sunrise was taken from the window of a greyhound somewhere at the beginning of our journey to Las Vegas from San Francisco. It was an early start and we saw the sun rise over a pre peak hour city scape.
Somewhere in the Egyptian Dessert - Photographed from the window of the tourist bus on its way in convoy to the great temples of Abu Simbel from Aswan. It is a long journey and most of the landscape sand.
Leaving Glendalough - Photographed from the hire car that carried my friends and I around Ireland for ten days. After departing the monument at Glendalough we made our way over the beautiful surrounding mountain range. As we came to the peak we felt so close to the clouds of the impending storm, so close we could almost touch them.
Pan American Highway 1 - Photographed as I travelled by bus from Arequipa to Ica in Peru. I loved the dilapidated bill boards and cola advertisements dotted by the roadside. I had the prime spot to view the passing landscape from the front seat of the top deck.
Pan American Highway 2 - Photographed as I travelled by bus from Arequipa to Ica in Peru. I loved the dilapidated bill boards and cola advertisements dotted by the roadside. I had the prime spot to view the passing landscape from the front seat of the top deck.
Pan American Highway 3 - Photographed as I travelled by bus from Arequipa to Ica in Peru. I loved the dilapidated bill boards and cola advertisements dotted by the roadside. I had the prime spot to view the passing landscape from the front seat of the top deck.
Road Trip Nevada - Photographed from the window of a Greyhound bus as we came closer to our final destination Las Vegas. We had watched the landscaper change into desert from our outset in San Francisco.
Road Trip California - Photographed from the window of a greyhound somewhere between San Francisco and our final destination, Las Vegas.
Almost in Ushuaia 1 - The day was coming to an end as the bus neared closer to the furtherest south I would travel in Argentina and the closest I have been to Antarctica. The landscape lush and damp surrounded by inclement weather blowing in off the waters of the Magellan Straight.
